New warband
Pick one of your warbands to edit. Anything the form does not show is kept exactly as it is when you save.
Solo RPG engine
Build a character, step into an adventure and say what you do. The Game Master sets the scene, rules on every roll, remembers who you met and keeps the books.
Example of play
Try it
Pick what Ilsa is good at, then roll under it. Every ten under is a degree of success. Your ruleset's config sets the dice and the targets.
Roll to see how it goes.
Character creation
Choose where they come from and what they do, roll their characteristics, and spend a little experience. The adventure takes it from there.
What it handles
Every place described as you arrive, and described the same when you come back.
It asks for a roll when the outcome is in doubt, and shows the number that decided it.
Whoever you met knows what you said, what you promised and what you took.
A map of where you have been and where the leads point.
Clues, quests and the trouble that is coming, kept in one place.
Rulesets, adventures and lore arrive as packages you own and share.
Learns the table
Before every update the Game Master is put through a bench of tricky scenes: odd requests, hard rulings, strangers asked about their own lives. Only the changes that read better ship.
And every adventure played on GrimSolo shows it what players actually do: the doors they try, the questions they ask, the plans that should have worked. What players reach for becomes part of the next story.
Adventures played, read and remembered.
The lamp is still lit

Skirmish engine
Set up your minis as usual. GrimSolo plays the other warband to the whole ruleset, tracks every wound and objective, and tells you exactly what it does and why.
Example of play
AI is choosing for A
Try it
Four dice, hits on 3+, a 6 is a critical. Your system's config sets the numbers; the engine rolls, counts and applies them.
Roll to see your hits.
What it handles
Who goes next, what each fighter has left to spend, and when the turning point ends.
Measured from the terrain you placed, so a target behind a wall is behind a wall.
Every roll in the open, with the numbers that decided it.
It scores its options each activation and tells you why it chose one.
Control, missions and victory points kept straight, turn by turn.
Rules, rosters, terrain and missions live in configs you own and share.
Never stops training
Every day the AI opponent fights hundreds of virtual battles across every warband and mission. Every decision it makes is graded, and only the changes that win more make it into the engine.
Then it studies the real thing. Every game played on GrimSolo shows it the moves that beat it, and the counters go straight back into its playbook. It gets smarter. So do you. That is the deal.
Simulated battles, around the clock.
Bring your own system
The engine knows how skirmishes work: activations, movement, sight, dice. Your config tells it the numbers and the names. Share it with a code and a friend plays the same rules.

This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (the “Operator,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use GrimSolo (the “Service”), including its skirmish play, game-system library, configuration sharing, and solo roleplaying (“Solo RPG”) features.
By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service; capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal information, and we ask that you do not include them in anything you type or upload.
We use information to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We share information only as described here:
We keep account information and User Content for as long as your account is active. When you delete content or your account, we delete it from active systems within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons, or where it has been shared into another user’s account.
Service logs are kept for a limited period for operation and security. Solo RPG play records are kept as described in Section 8.
We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and request verification. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Some features send information to AI providers so they can generate a response. We send only what the feature needs. For our Anthropic features, your content is never used to train their models.
Artwork prompts, model settings, seeds, and job records are linked to your account in Firebase. Generated images are sent to Cloudinary and stored there for reuse, with access through temporary signed links. The browser stores job references with your RPG save. You can request deletion using the contact details below. Clearing browser data does not delete these server-side artwork records or images.
AI output can be wrong or unexpected. Do not type or upload personal, sensitive, or confidential information into AI features.
To improve our adventures, we keep a record of how adventures are played. For each turn we record:
Play records do not include your name, email address, or account identifier, and nothing else from your game is stored with them. We review them, in aggregate, to find what players most often try in each scene, and use that to write better responses and choose which choices appear on screen. Play records are kept for up to one year and then deleted automatically.
Because play records are anonymous, we cannot find or delete the records of an individual player on request. Please do not type personal information into the game.
Solo RPG saves, interface settings, and similar preferences are stored in your browser. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser’s site data; doing so deletes any saves that exist only on that device.
You can view, edit, and delete your saved content from within the Service, and you may request deletion of your account by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below; we may need to verify your identity.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where we ask for it. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email before they take effect. The “Last revised” date above shows when this Policy last changed.

Set up your miniatures and terrain, roll your own dice if you like, and face an AI opponent that thinks, reacts, and keeps the game moving.
Pick a skirmish game and set up your forces. GrimSolo runs the opposing side using the configured rules.

Place your miniatures, terrain, and objectives. Use your physical board and dice, just like a game with friends.

GrimSolo runs the AI opponent, making decisions and reacting to the battle as you play.

GrimSolo runs an AI opponent that considers the battlefield and makes tactical decisions as the game unfolds.
It looks for opportunities to flank, defend, feint, and apply pressure in pursuit of its objectives.

The AI is designed to use the units, abilities, and special rules configured for your game—not just move and attack.
Rule coverage depends on what has been configured and implemented for the system you choose.

Set up the terrain and miniatures you want on your physical table. Represent that layout in GrimSolo so the opponent can make decisions using your battlefield.

Tools to import or create your own systems and warbands are included. Configure the rules and forces you want to bring to the table.
Share game codes with friends so they can use the same game configurations.

Simulated games and analysis of game logs can help reveal how battles play out and inform future improvements to the AI.
Those insights guide ongoing work on a more challenging and adaptable opponent.

Set up your table. Face a tactical opponent. See what happens.
